7:30pm-10:30pm: Celebrating The Ancestors/Recognizing The Elders. Honoring the ancestors and celebrating our living elders.
Giorgio's, First Floor of the hotel.
Cousin and distinguished educator, civil rights activist and pastor Dr. Virgil A. Wood, will lead a session in which we reflect upon what our ancestors gave us, as we also celebrate the elders present. Our cousin, performing artist Rashida Bumbray, will join other vocally inspired cousins to kick the night off by leading us in a Ring Shout, reputed to be one of the oldest forms of musical expression by Africans in the Americas.

4PM-Until: Check-in in hotel rooms
8PM-11PM: WELCOME RECEPTION and check in for all family members between 8pm and 11pm, where you'll receive a reunion packet (including: copy of the plan for the weekend, a copy of the Brown Family Tree, t-shirts, and name tags), meet and greet arriving family members and unwind after your trip with fresh fruit, domestic and imported cheese, and non-alcoholic beverages. AVAILABLE: Card tables (Spades, Bid Whist, Tonk, Poker, etc.) and Introductions: Hotel Bar will be open until 1am. LOCATION: GIORGIO'S
9pm-10pm: MANDATORY FAMILY REUNION COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEETING: Room 802. Full meeting of the Reunion Coordinating Committee in Wendell's hotel suite to meet each other, account for last minute details, confirm procurement schedule and ensure smooth sailing for the weekend. Brief breakout meetings by activity.
SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2013
8AM-9AM: BREAKFAST, $10.95 buffet per person in the hotel, or order from the menu. Nearby alternatives available. Ala carte.
ALTERNATE SATURDAY CHECK IN: Rotunda Ballroom. Anytime between 8AM and 9AM, where all late comers will receive a copy
of the plan for the weekend.
8:30AM-9:15am: MANDATORY technical walk through of the Knowledge Bowl --Rotunda Ballroom
Walk through of the knowledge bowl participants to check sound cues, lighting, equipment and staging. Required for all knowledge bowl participants.
9:15am SHARP: Official Welcome: By family members representing all branches of the family. Rotunda Ballroom
10am-12:pm: Family Scavenger Hunt, Pen Park
Scavengar Hunt teams of 8-10 people will be assigned beginning at 9:30am in the Ballroom. All teams will consist of family members who do not know each other. Teams will travel to the park and move their way through a list of park locations to identify a set of objects or images.The team must work together to complete the scavenger hunt. A great way to build relationships and get to know some cousins you just met!
RAIN LOCATION: Inside the hotel.
On Your Own For Lunch. The Hotel Restaurant will be open for lunch, and there are plenty of nearby dining and shopping options available.

Leave the hotel at 2:45pm and drive a little down Rt. 29 to AMF KEGLERS LANES for bowling or billiards.
Bowling $6.45 per game. Shoe rental $4.60 per person. The lanes offers a special of $17 to bowl all you want for two hours, or $29 for 3 hours (includes shoe rental). Paid on site.
Billiards $16 per hour per table. Up to 4 players per table. (So four players may play for $4 each for an hour). Paid on site.

For those who prefer to relax in the hotel and spend time catching up with relatives and meeting new ones, a suite in the hotel will be available to do just that.

This central location has multiple seating, and will be stocked with refreshments for the afternoon.
THE HOTEL POOL
We bring Bingo to the hotel for a couple of hours of fun gaming, complete with a professional host, multiple games, and prizes. Gallery B & C .

The big party of the weekend. Clear away the dinner dishes and jump onto the parquet. DJs in the family spin popular classics all night on the platform. Cash bar. Fancy dress, please!

SUNDAY, JULY 21
9AM-10AM: CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST BUFFET-- Rotunda Ballroom. $13 per adult, $6.50 kids 6-11, kids 5 and under free. Must prepay.
*You may also choose to take breakfast in the hotel restaurant or elsewhere. However, if you can please choose the Continental Breakfast Buffet, as it will be credited toward our total food & beverage minimum!
9am-10am: Jefferson Continental Breakfast for all
9:30AM-10:30AM Knowledge Bowl --Rotunda Ballroom
10:30AM - 11:30AM: REUNION WRAP-UP: Stay in the Rotunda Ballroom for a wrap-up and sendoff
12 NOON: A Check-out
3PM: REVIVAL SERVICE, PIEDMONT BAPTIST CHURCH -- Yancey Mills, VA
Ride on out to Greenwood to the family's historic religious seat, Piedmont Baptist Church, and enjoy the beginning of Revival.
